Shire grant assists Community Learning Centre
A new Community Learning Centre in Euroa is here to help.
Held in the Euroa Citizen’s Band Hall in Kirkland Ave, the centre offers programs and advice for those seeking support with upskilling.
Strathbogie Shire Council Mayor Cr Laura Binks said the centre could assist with things such as digital literacy, preparing a CV or cover letter and much more.
“The aim is to give you confidence to succeed in upskilling or reskilling. The program is based on your individual needs and interests,” Cr Binks said.
The centre was supported through the recent Strathbogie Shire Council Community Grants, receiving a grant of $3,953.
“The funds were used to purchase computers, a printer, headsets and tables and promotional signage to operate the centre twice each week,” Cr Binks said.
“This is a great facility and opportunity with mentors ready to assist you.”
The grant also assisted the group to provide access for people to get their Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate in collaboration with GoTAFE and will enable other short courses or those reengaging in pre-accredited and accredited courses.
