Strathbogie Shire Council has many dedicated volunteers who contribute hours of valuable work for our organisation every year. Through volunteering with Council, you can bring your skills and passions to meaningful roles that have a clear and positive benefit to the community. Volunteering is also a great way to learn new skills, develop new friendships, and feel a part of your community.

Council Volunteer Programs
Join the Euroa Community Cinema as a volunteer and become an integral part of delivering an enriching cinematic experience to our vibrant community. Our volunteers play diverse roles, ensuring our cinema program remains dynamic and entertaining for all.
By volunteering with us, you not only contribute to Strathbogie Shire community but also indulge in your passion for cinema by enjoying a variety of great films. Additionally, you’ll have the opportunity to expand your skill set, delving into cinema operations and projection techniques, enriching your knowledge base along the way.
Beyond the cinema screen, volunteering with us opens doors to new connections and friendships, as you join a community of like-minded individuals who share your enthusiasm for film and community engagement. Your involvement goes beyond mere entertainment; it directly contributes to the development and sustainability of a vital community asset, ensuring its longevity for generations to come.
Join us at Euroa Community Cinema and experience the joy of cinema while making a meaningful difference in your community.
Do you have a passion for the local area or would be interested in discovering more about our beautiful region? Would you like to share your knowledge, learn new things and meet others? Council is calling for volunteers for the Nagambie Lakes and Euroa Visitor Information Centre. Be the first point of contact for tourists and assist them by answering a range of queries. Give guidance on the region’s attractions, things to see and do, directions around the district, accommodation, shopping, tracks and trails, as well as information about Victoria. No experience necessary, support provided.
So many benefits to volunteering! You’ll meet people you otherwise never would have met. The bonds formed between volunteers are strong, and friendships quickly form. These friendships could be a big benefit by expanding your network of contacts. It’s a nice side effect of the work you’ll be doing. The Shire appreciates the efforts of volunteers and offers many opportunities to build new skills and discover first hand many parts of the region, you may not know about. You will be invited to join regular familiarisation tours through the Shire and region, to meet other volunteers from other Visitor Info Centres and discover what makes them tick, while enjoying a tour of a particular area.
Keep an eye on our online engagement platform www.share.www.strathbogie.vic.gov.au for opportunities throughout the year to join various working groups. There is always an opportunity to stay engaged in Council’s projects through this platform.
