Nagambie Tip Shop is a resale shop at Nagambie Transfer Station which saves reusable household furniture, garden equipment, tools, toys and lots more from landfill.

Residents can donate reusable items which meet Council’s Product Acceptance Criteria and buy second-hand goods between $1 to $20.

The opening of Nagambie Tip Shop is supported by the Circular Economy Councils Fund, delivered by Sustainability Victoria under the Victorian Government’s circular economy policy, Recycling Victoria: a new economy.

What is the purpose of the resale shop?

Nagambie Tip Shop helps our community divert reusable materials from landfill to minimise our impact on the environment. It provides an opportunity to extend the life of reusable materials that are safe and sellable. Residents can donate items which are too good for landfill and buy items at a bargain price.

This environmental initiative lowers our community’s environmental footprint as well as Strathbogie Shire Council’s running costs at the transfer station.

How was the development of Nagambie Tip Shop funded?

The project was funded $72,000 from the Circular Economy Councils Fund and Strathbogie Shire Council committed $35,000.

What items can residents donate or buy at Nagambie Tip Shop?

Furniture, tools, toys, bicycles and other second-hand items which are safe and saleable. Items must meet Council’s Product Acceptance Criteria before donation and display in the shop.
