Events

Euroa Community Cinema

You can view a range of films at the Euroa Community Cinema. Screenings are held regularly on Saturdays at 7:30pm and Sundays at 4pm, unless otherwise stated. Libraries

The Goulburn Valley Regional Library Corporation, on behalf of the Strathbogie Shire Council, operates local libraries in Euroa, and Violet Town. A Mobile Library service regularly visits Nagambie, Strathbogie, Avenel and Longwood. For opening hours and much more, click here.

Pet Ownership

Volunteering

There are opportunities to volunteer with Council at its Visitor Information Centres in Nagambie and Euroa or for the Euroa Community Cinema. Health and Wellbeing

Maternal Child Health

The Maternal and Child Health Service is a primary health service, free for all Victorian families with children aged birth to school age. Services are available in Euroa, Avenel, Nagambie and Violet Town. To find out more, click here.

Playgroups

Strathbogie Shire has community playgroups in each of its townships as well as the Council-facilitated Support Playgroups with enrolments available to those who meet the eligibility criteria. You can find out more about both playgroup options here.

Youth

Council provides a range of services for youth. There is a youth hub at both Euroa and Nagambie. Join your local youth or FReeZA Crew or simply stay up to date with all of the latest youth events via the youth Facebook page here or via Council’s website.

Emergencies

Strathbogie Shire Council’s role in emergency management ranges from responding to trees over roads or wandering livestock to other significant roles in major emergencies impacting the Strathbogie Shire, in accordance with Victoria’s emergency management legislation.
Emergency risks in Strathbogie Shire include bushfires, grass fires, floods and transport incidents.
