Free youth theatre performance coming to Euroa Community Cinema
Strathbogie Shire Council youth are invited to attend a free theatre performance by touring company Phunktional titled ‘Love Drunk’.
The performance follows the story of two boys and a girl: David, Deng and Lee who are the best of friends.
One night at a party, things go terribly wrong and the friendships will never be the same again.
Strathbogie Shire Mayor Cr Laura Binks said due to the content of the play, the performance was aimed at youth aged over 14 years – in year’s 9-12 as well as tertiary students.
“The play deals with youth culture and relationships so we encourage youth aged over 14 years, their parents and/or carers, and community members to attend the event at the Euroa Community Cinema,” she said.
“It’s a great opportunity for parents and carers to engage with their teenagers and utilise the tools provided during this educational opportunity.
“There will be free supper on offer beforehand as well and the opportunity to take part in a Q&A session with the actors after the performance.”
Youth are encouraged to register their attendance via the booking link for catering purposes.
“We will have options for vegetarians available, but please get in touch if you have other dietary requirements,” Cr Binks said.
