#GreatNewsThursday – Strathbogie pet owners do the right thing
Strathbogie Shire residents were keen to register and reregister their pets for the next year following the successful responsible pet ownership reminder campaign last month.
Strathbogie Shire Council Administrator Peter Stephenson congratulated residents for heeding the call.
“It has been most pleasing to see that not only were residents reregistering their pets we had 47 new pet registrations in April and most of these were either puppies, adoptions or pets of people moving to the shire.
“Adhering to the law gives pet owners some peace of mind should their animal become lost. It is wise that the registration tag is attached to the pet’s collar.
“I can say thank you to our residents and I am sure their pets will be grateful too should they become lost,” Mr Stephenson said.
