Euroa’s Off-Leash Dog Park was officially opened on Monday 24 May with a celebratory Puppy Party.

The event was well-attended and the Off-Leash Dog Park received the tick of approval from all in attendance.

Strathbogie Shire Council Mayor Cr Chris Raeburn said the new area was great news for the community.

“The community has been advocating for an off-leash area for many years so we’re proud to see it happening,” he said.

“Strathbogie Shire Council is truly proud to see an initiative that has been driven by the community come to life.”

“We’re looking forward to seeing the area well used and dogs and their owners enjoying the space.”

The park will provide the opportunity for dogs to exercise, socialise, play and burn off energy.

The park was officially opened by Euroa local Elliot Paterson who has strong credentials when it comes to pets.

At 17-years-old, Elliot runs his own business looking after people’s when their owners go away.

The Euroa Off-Leash Dog Park is open 7 days per week, 24 hours per day. It is not recommended for dogs under four months old and dogs must be registered and vaccinated before attending.
