Online survey to assist economic development in Strathbogie Shire

Businesses throughout the Strathbogie Shire will assist council staff to develop their Economic Development Strategy for the next five years.

Starting with an online survey which is now open on the Share Strathbogie website www.sharewww.strathbogie.vic.gov.au. The survey will be open for comment for a month until October 19.

Strathbogie Shire Mayor Cr Chris Raeburn said that the Shire was keen to strengthen their existing and create new economic opportunities now for the businesses in the Shire.

“We know empowering, attracting and retaining people with skills for the future will enhance our business opportunities in the Shire,” Cr Raeburn said.

“This survey will target outcomes and opportunities over the next five years and will assist us to deliver programs in our action plan.

“The results of this survey will create an economic development roadmap that puts people and our environment first and enhances creative entrepreneurship to be innovative and create a positive forward-thinking plan,” Cr Raeburn said.

This five-year strategy will replace previous economic development strategies and the results of the survey and workshops will be made public following their adoption by Council.
