Libraries
Goulburn Valley Libraries has 11 branches located throughout Strathbogie Shire, Moira Shire and Greater Shepparton City Council, offering a wide variety of services to the local community including:
- free membership
- a large selection of books, magazines, comics, DVDs, eBooks and eAudiobooks
- programs, events and activities for all ages, all abilities – all-year round
- meeting rooms and remote workspaces
- free wifi and computer access, plus printing services (fees apply)
- library locker in Murchison
- mobile library visits to Longwood and Strathbogie
- open libraries access at most libraries from 8am – 8pm, seven days a week
- home library service
- library of things – borrow binoculars, popcorn machines, energy saving kits and more!
- Kanopy movie streaming platform
- book clubs
- family and local history research assistance.
Within Strathbogie Shire, branches are located at:
- Euroa, 62 Binney St, Euroa. Open Tuesday to Saturday
- Violet Town, Cowslip Street. Open Tuesday and Thursday to Saturday
- Nagambie, Shop 5, 267 High Street. Open Tuesday and Thursday to Saturday
- Avenel, 23 Queen Street. Open Tuesday to Saturday.
Euroa, Violet Town and Avenel libraries offer Open Libraries access between 8am – 8pm, seven days a week. Nagambie will be offering this service in 2026.
