- Full time – temporary to 28 May 2027.
- Band 5 – $73,588 per annum + 12% superannuation

The Strathbogie Shire is a vibrant and progressive rural municipality located about two hours from the Melbourne CBD along the Hume Highway. We have diverse and picturesque communities served by townships such as Euroa, Nagambie, Violet Town, Avenel, Longwood, Ruffy and Strathbogie.
About the Role:
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement the design, planning, delivery and evaluation of a range of high quality and targeted community development programs and activities.
- Provide, establish and maintain positive working relationships and partnerships with relevant service agencies, businesses and the community and build a strong youth network within the Strathbogie Shire for the purposes of information sharing, joint planning and fundraising.
- Actively promote and market programs and services throughout the community including assisting in the development of promotional material.
- Facilitate a range of quality programs and events for young people aged 12-25 across the Strathbogie Shire.
Our ideal candidate will have:
- The ability to apply strategic thinking and community development approaches to source opportunity for effective collaboration with community groups, and other internal and external stakeholders to respond to the identified needs.
- Demonstrated skills in community consultation and engagement.
- Proven ability to develop effective working relationships with members of the community, members of interest groups, federal and state government departments and agencies, other stakeholders and bodies.
