#GreatNewsThursday – Here and Now youth music festival coming to Euroa
Strathbogie Shire Council’s FReeZA Crew are hosting an exciting event for youth in Euroa this month.
The Here and Now youth music festival will be held in the Seven Creeks Park on October 21 from 2-9pm.
“The Sevens is set to come alive to the sounds of exciting young bands – featuring both the North East Battle of the Bands Euroa heat as well as some amazing feature acts,” Mayor Cr Laura Binks said.
Last year’s Battle of the Bands winners Swim State and Bad Ibis will perform along with two bands from Melbourne/Naarm – Zero City and Sex Mask.
“There is still time to enter the North East Battle of the Bands Euroa heat – entries close on the 15 October so get in quick,” Mayor Binks said.
“Battle of the Bands is a competition for bands and soloists aged between 14 and 25 years with most members 21 and under. More information about this event can be found on social media and on Council’s website.”
Cr Binks said the event wasn’t just about music.
“There will also be art activities, workshops and local food vans selling yummy treats,” she said.
The event is open to all-ages and is drug, alcohol, vape and tobacco free. The event will be fully supervised with no pass outs.
Children under 12 years are welcome but must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Bags will be inspected upon entry and the organisers reserve the right to refuse entry.
Tickets are free but limited. Secure your spot by booking at: https://events.humanitix.com/here-and-now
