5 Aug 2022

Strathbogie Shire Council is excited to bring the Out of Nowhere Battle of the Bands event to the region with the winning act scoring a gig at next year’s Euroa Music Festival.

The event will be held on November 4, 2022 at the pre-festival event and feature a selection of local upcoming bands who will battle it out to score a spot on the line-up at the 2023 Euroa Music Festival.

Strathbogie Shire Council Mayor Cr Laura Binks said Council was excited to partner with the Euroa Music Festival to bring this fantastic opportunity to some local young musicians.

“The inaugural festival in 2021 was a fantastic event which saw huge numbers descend on Euroa to enjoy a weekend of incredible music and great vibes,” Cr Binks said.

“The opportunity for an upcoming local band to perform to huge crowd numbers is a break that any musician would dream of.

“At Council, we support local young people aged 12 – 25, who are interested in the music industry with our FReeZA Program, supported by the Victorian Government.

“Music is such a great way of fostering young talent and we are lucky to have a diverse range of young talented acts in the area.

“We wish the competitors for the Battle of the Bands all the best and we cannot wait to crown the winner.”

All Battle of the Bands competitors will receive a free ticket to attend the Euroa Music Festival.
