Celebrating the new Nagambie Foreshore Walk
The beauty of Lake Nagambie truly shines from the newly opened Nagambie Foreshore Walk.
And we’re calling on the community to share those stunning views with us!
Council is running a photography campaign calling on community members to share their incredible photos from the Foreshore Walk.
It comes after this week’s community event at Elloura Beach where residents, stakeholders and those involved in bringing the project to fruition gathered to celebrate.
At the event, Strathbogie Shire Council Mayor Cr Laura Binks thanked the community and stakeholders for their efforts on the 1.6km pathway which stretches along the southern edge of the lake from the township to the Regatta Centre.
“This project is a true testament to working together with all levels of government – the outcome is a true win for the community and will be enjoyed by residents and visitors alike.”
“It is so great to be able to celebrate this with the community and stakeholders.”
Cr Binks said the new pathway provided plenty of opportunities to take in the beauty of Lake Nagambie.
“It is a real win for tourism in Strathbogie Shire as it will create an attractive and iconic walking trail for residents and visitors to enjoy year-round,” she said.
“The path will support township connectivity, economic development and safe, healthy, active living.
“We have been so pleased to already see some fantastic photos and videos of community members enjoying the new facility.
“That’s why we’re calling on the community, and visitors alike, to share these images with us.”
