Arrangements over the Holiday Period 25/26

Customer Service Centres

Strathbogie Shire Council Customer Service Centres in Euroa and Nagambie will close at noon on Wednesday, 24 December 2025.

Euroa Customer service will reopen at 9am on Friday, 2 January 2026.

Nagambie Customer service will reopen at 9am on Monday, 5 January 2026.

Our after-hours emergency enquiry service will remain available during this period. Call 1800 065 993.

Kerbside Collection Services

There will be no kerbside bin collections on Christmas Day or New Year’s Day.

There are changes to the following dates during this period:

Thursday 25 December (Christmas Day): Collections will take place Friday 26 December.

Friday 26 December (Boxing Day): Collections will take place Saturday 27 December.

Thursday 1 January (New Year’s Day): Collections will take place Friday 2 January.

Friday 2 January: Collections will take place Saturday 3 January.

Collections scheduled for Monday or Tuesday are not impacted.

Transfer Stations

Our transfer stations will close on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day.
Operating as per our usual opening hours on all other days.

Please remember our transfer stations are also closed on days of Total Fire Ban and catastrophic fire danger.

Maternal Child Health

The Strathbogie Shire Maternal & Child Health Program will be closed from noon Wednesday, 24 December, 2025 and will reopen for normal operating hours on Friday, 2 January, 2026.

The centre will be available for limited appointments on Tuesday, 30 December with priority being given to newborn babies and/or babies that are required to have additional consults.

GV Libraries

Euroa and Nagambie Libraries will close at 2.00pm on Wednesday, 24 December. Violet Town and Avenel will be closed as usual on Wednesdays.

All Goulburn Valley Libraries will be closed on:
• Thursday, 25 December
• Friday, 26 December 2025
• Thursday, 1 January 2026

Libraries will operate according to their usual opening hours on all other days.

Access eBooks, eAudiobooks, eMagazines, streaming services, and more from home via the GV Libraries website.

Nagambie

  • Closed: Thursday 25 December 2025 and Thursday 1 January 2026
  • Shortened Hours:
    • Friday 26 December: 11:00 am – 2:00 pm
    • Sunday 27 December: 11:00 am – 2:00 pm
  • Regular Hours: 10:00 am – 4:00 pm on all other days

Euroa Hub

  • Closed: Thursday 25 December 2025
  • Open: 10:00 am – 2:00 pm on all other days

Euroa Community Cinema

The Euroa Community Cinema will be taking a short break over the holiday season.
Closed: Monday, 15 December 2025
Reopening: Saturday, 10 January 2026

Pools

Our pools are open daily (weather permitting) from 12pm – 7pm, except on Christmas Day when they will be closed.
