About the Role:

Supporting the organisation across the full employment lifecycle, the People & Culture Advisor is responsible for talent attraction, recruitment, onboarding, development, retention and offboarding, to ensure a seamless and positive employee experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide general human resources services to all employees throughout their employment cycle.
  • Provide detailed advice and support as required to Manager People & Culture on a range of generalist People & Culture activities.
  • Ensure that all People & Culture policies and procedures are kept up to date.
  • Coordinate the preparation, data input, system maintenance and report generation for the payroll function in accordance with Council’s internal procedures and timelines and external payroll requirements.

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • An understanding of Fair Work Act 2009 (Cth), Superannuation Guarantee (Administration) Act 1992 (Cth) and Long Service Leave legislation.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, industrial awards and enterprise agreements relevant to the position.
  • Knowledge of relevant Superannuation Scheme, Workcover and Income Protection procedures.
