ARTBOX | Grounded by Angus Cameron, Simeon Ayres, Trina Carter and Ann Cremean

30 September, 2025 12:00 am - 27 October, 2025 11:00 pm

Artbox Gallery is proud to present Grounded, a captivating group exhibition that explores the theme of growth, connection, and the grounding presence of nature. Featuring four accomplished local artists, the show invites viewers to reflect on the quiet power of fungi, small plants, rocks, and water—and the emotional resonance of being “grounded” in place and community.

The exhibition showcases works by:

  • Angus Cameron – A printmaker based in Avenel, Angus creates intricate impressions on paper that echo the forms and patterns of the natural world. His work reflects the micro and macro beauty of the Strathbogie Ranges.
  • Simeon Ayres – An artist and mapmaker from the Strathbogie Ranges, Simeon’s unique style blends aerial perspectives with traditional landscape elements. His commissioned works map personal connections to country.
  • Trina Carter – A sculptor from Creighton’s Creek, Trina’s multidisciplinary practice is deeply inspired by the natural environment. Her sculptures explore organic forms and the textures of the land.
  • Ann Cremean – A visual artist creating contemporary landscape paintings from her Melbourne studio, Ann draws inspiration from the Euroa region. Her works capture the granite outcrops, bush textures, and waterways of northeast Victoria.

All artworks will be available for purchase or simply for your viewing pleasure. Visitors are encouraged to drop by on Avenel Market Day, October 12, when the artists will be present at Artbox from 10am to 1pm for informal discussion and insights into their creative processes.
