About the Role:

The Community Safety Support Officer will primarily assist the Community Safety Officer with a broad range Local Laws enforcement including parking compliance, litter enforcement, fire prevention along with assisting with the maintenance of the Council’s Pound facility.

This role will suit someone with a keen interest in community safety and animal management/husbandry. The successful candidate will undertake Certificate IV in Animal Regulation and Management and Government Investigation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the processing of applications, administration and enforcement of the various Acts, Regulations and Local Laws, in a timely, efficient, and effective manner.
  • Meet customers’ needs and expectations by responding to and Investigating customer reports and concerns relating to alleged breaches of the Domestic Animals Act, Local Laws, and the Impounding of Livestock Act with the assistance of a Compliance Officer.
  • Assist with the animal registration process.
