  • Band 6 – $53.20 per hour + 11.5% superannuation

The Strathbogie Shire is a vibrant and progressive rural municipality located about two hours from the Melbourne CBD along the Hume Highway. We have diverse and picturesque communities served by townships such as Euroa, Nagambie, Violet Town, Avenel, Longwood, Ruffy and Strathbogie.

About the Role:

In this pivotal role, you’ll help ensure that Council delivers engaging, accessible, quality information to the Strathbogie Shire through a range of channels.

With a focus on continuous improvement and creativity, you’ll support divisions across the organisation to inform and educate the community about a broad range of Council programs, events, policies and initiatives.

Our ideal candidate:

  • A tertiary qualification in communications, digital communications, public relations, journalism, marketing (or related discipline) and/or relevant experience in a corporate communications environment.
  • An excellent understanding of the media including social media.
  • Demonstrated experience in recognising and interpreting quality content for a range of different audiences.
  • Experience in working with a range of stakeholders (internal and external).
  • Skilled in managing and working on multiple complex projects and priorities with minimal supervision.
