Due to the wet conditions and the inability for some property owners to slash their land, Strathbogie Shire Council is extending the requirement by two weeks for all Fire Prevention Notices already issued.
This relates to all areas except Nagambie and Strathbogie who have not been inspected and Fire Preventions Notices are yet to be issued.
Fire Prevention Notices will begin to be issued for Nagambie and Strathbogie in approximately two weeks’ time.
A Fire Prevention Notice is a notice issued to properties with potential fire hazards like vegetation or other flammable materials that are present on the property.
Fire Prevention Notices are issued to the land owner, occupier or manager of the property in question.
