Nagambie Angle Parking Project complete

Wednesday, 29 August, 2018

Strathbogie Shire Council would like to thank local businesses and the wider public for their ongoing patience while the Nagambie Angle Parking Project was underway and is pleased to announce the works have now been completed.

Strathbogie Shire Mayor Amanda McClaren thanked the community for their involvement in the extensive consultation process and for their patience during the planning and implementation phases of the project.

“We’d like to thank our community for their ongoing patience and remind the public to be aware of the changed conditions, particularly the speed limit from 50km per hour to 40km per hour in the shopping precinct,” Cr McClaren explained.

“One of the other significant traffic changes associated with the angle parking is that Marie Street has become a one-way street through the centre median area.

Marie Street becoming one-way in this section was a decision of VicRoads to improve traffic flow due to there now being only a single traffic lane in both north and south bound directions,” Cr McClaren explained.
