Australian Women in Agriculture to visit Strathbogie

Wednesday, 25 July, 2018

Australian Women in Agriculture will be visiting the Strathbogie Shire to observe some of the region's entrepreneurial agribusinesses and primary producers on Sunday 19 August, as part of their 2018 conference.

At the recent Ordinary Meeting, Council resolved to sponsor the event, by providing $1000 for a bus tour of the Strathbogie Shire.

Strathbogie Shire Mayor Amanda McClaren said the tour is a fantastic opportunity to showcase some of the best the region has to offer.

Australian Women in Agriculture (AWiA) President, Sarah Parker said the Strathbogie Shire was a clear choice for this year’s tour.

“The Strathbogie Shire has a strong farmer’s markets season which is supported by vibrant and inspiring primary producers that are producing food and fibre for these markets as well as tourists and consumers in general,” Mr Parker said.

There are currently vacancies available for the conference and tours. For more information visit: www.awia.org.au.
