Our Youth Services Department offers a wide range of programs and services for young people aged between 12 and 25 years.
Funding provided by the State Governments' FReeZA Program provides many opportunities to deliver activities and programs which enable young people to build their knowledge, skills and understanding in event planning and management.
It also encourages young people to participate in their communities and build networks and positive relationships across the Strathbogie Shire and beyond.
Some of the events undertaken in the past twelve months include; Musomagic, Fast Track Talent -Strathbogie, Youth Movie Nights at Euroa Community Cinema, Battle of the Bands, and Kool Skools. In addition the Youth Events Committee take part in numerous training opportunities to build their skills and capacity to deliver such events including; event management and planning, food handling, OHS, public speaking, First Aid and more.
We are also an avenue of resource for information regarding health and well being of young people and can provide referral to a variety of organisations which provide support for young people.
