The Strathbogie Shire Council recognises the importance of events and tourism to the economic growth of our region. If you have a business that benefits directly or indirectly from tourism or you’re organising an event; read below on how Goulburn River Valley Tourism (GRVT) can potentially assist your business.
GRVT operates as the peak regional tourism organisation for the Goulburn River Valley region. It was established in July 2009 by the four councils that make up our region; Greater Shepparton, Mitchell, Murrindindi and Strathbogie.
Goulburn River Valley Tourism is responsible for the development of regional tourism product strengths and niche strategic product development opportunities, particularly where product can impact on increasing visitor yield, improve visitor experience and increase visitation.
Get the latest tourism news by signing up to GRVT’s seasonal newsletter. The newsletter lists events, festivals, accommodation special offers and fantastic competitions happening in the region each season. To sign up visit goulburnrivervalley.com.au/abouttheregion/latest-news
If you’re holding an event on public land within the Strathbogie Shire you’ll need to complete an event application 3 months prior to your event.
