| The whole of the Shire of Strathbogie has been declared as an area in which buildings are likely to be attacked by Termites (White Ants).
Protection against Termite attack can be achieved through appropriate design, care during site preparation, adoption of appropriate construction practices & ongoing inspection & maintenance.
Council's Building Department can provide technical advice on the appropriate strategies & regulatory requirements for individual building projects.
The installers of Termite Management Systems should provide a durable Notice containing Termite Management Information to be fixed to the building after treatment. A Certificate of Installation is required as a record of works completed by the Contractor. Copies of this Certificate are also available from the Shire Building Department.
