Welcome to Strathbogie Shire Council’s website.

The picturesque Strathbogie Shire is located in north-east Victoria, encompassing part of the Strathbogie Ranges and the majestic Goulburn River.

The municipality is known as “Victoria’s Thoroughbred Homeland” due to its ever expanding horse industry and its fertile plains support a burgeoning viticulture sector.

Tourism is important to the region with visitors each year appreciating the unique, natural and developed tourist sites throughout the municipality.
