Council paves the way for Tourism, Arts and Culture

Wednesday, 6 December, 2017

Strathbogie Shire Council welcomes new staff member Claire Taylor, as the recently appointed Manager of Tourism, Arts and Culture.

Claire has lived in Euroa for the past eight years and said she sees huge potential to develop and capitalise on the tourism, arts and culture offerings across the shire.

In forming the committee and appointing a manager, Council has fulfilled two key objectives set out in the Council Plan 2017-2021, which were developed after feedback from the Conversation Cafes held earlier this year.

Claire and the committee will be setting up the Love Strathbogie marquee at the following events and encourage the community to have a conversation about the types of arts and cultural pursuits that are of interest to them and their communities:

  • Violet Town Market: Saturday 9 December 8.30-1pm, Honeysuckle Creek Recreation Reserve, Tulip Street
  • Nagambie Carols by Candlelight: Saturday 9 December 5-8.30pm, Buckley Park, Nagambie
  • Avenel Market: Sunday 10 December 9am-1pm, Jubilee Park, Livingstone Street, Avenel
  • Euroa Village Farmers Market: Saturday 16 December 9am-1pm, Kirkland Avenue, Euroa
