An all-ages talent show is returning to the Strathbogie Shire in April.
Fast Track, part of National Youth Week, aims to involve the whole community (and wider Victoria) to take part in an action-packed day at the Euroa Community Cinema.
From toddlers to senior citizens, Fast Track is the perfect opportunity to display your unique talents to a larger audience.
Fast Track are looking for singers, dancers, magicians, comedians, DJs, poets and more to strut their stuff on the big stage.
Strathbogie Shire Youth Development Officer Inga Hamilton said this year, Council and Fast Track organisers were spreading the net "far and wide" to find talented people of all ages, shapes and sizes to compete.
"It’s an opportunity for kids to attend a drug and alcohol free event locally (Strathbogie Shire, Goulburn Valley and North East Victoria) in the middle of the school holidays," she said.
"It’s an opportunity for voices to be heard, talent to be seen.
"In the country, there’s not a lot of exposure available to talented people. With Fast Track, people can go and see other members of the community perform and take part in it themselves."
Strathbogie Shire Mayor Amanda McClaren said Fast Track was a great opportunity for the Shire’s youth to demonstrate the high calibre and passion of their artistic talent.
"We are delighted that Fast Track is running again this year," she said.
"I would encourage every young person to get involved, you never know where an opportunity to participate in such an event may lead."
The event was last held in the Strathbogie Shire in 2015, which saw Moama’s Isaiah Firebrace come second in the competition but eventually win, in 2016, the Seven Network’s The X Factor.
Isaiah will this year be Australia’s representative for Eurovision 2017 in May.
Kicking off at 9am on Saturday, April 8, heats will be running throughout the day until the finals at 7pm.
Entry during the day is free with only $5 required for the big finale.
Strathbogie Shire Council welcomes feedback from its residents and will endeavour to respond to your request as soon as possible.
