Strathbogie Shire Council is working with residents of properties adjacent to the Boundary Road South floodway in Euroa, committed to resolving recent flooding problems.
Council recently held a meeting with residents of Bell Street and Boundary Road South to discuss ways of resolving the flooding issue.
At the meeting, chaired by Seven Creeks Ward Councillor Mick Williams, residents examined flooding history and considered improvements suggested by Council officers.
Cr Williams said residents looked at what Council could do to fix the problem.
"A solution involving opening the channel, with a proposed shallow, wide grassed swale following fence lines was discussed," he said.
"Residents also queried piping the floodway, redirecting water to Castle Creek.
"Council are now preparing information with these options for a second resident meeting, to be held in February."
Strathbogie Shire Council welcomes feedback from its residents and will endeavour to respond to your request as soon as possible.
