Seniors Festival Grants

The Department of Health and Human Services provides Strathbogie Shire Council with a Victorian Seniors Festival Active Living Grant to enable activities and events to be conducted throughout the month of October.

The theme for 2017 is You're Welcome, to continue with the inclusivity, diversity and 'come and have a try' messages associated with the Festival in recent years.

This year Council is making available grants for Senior Citizens groups to host activities or events that will benefit our community.

Guidelines

Avenel Senior Citizens, Euroa Third Age Club, Longwood Senior Citizens, Nagambie Senior Citizens and Violet Town Senior Citizens may each apply for a grant of up to $400.

To receive the grant the group is required to submit an application through the SmartyGrants Portal on the Strathbogie Shire Council website.

The event or activity should be free of charge for participants and held during the month of October.

The event should be advertised widely using the Seniors Festival Branding Toolkit, with inclusion of Strathbogie Shire Council promotional material.

The Seniors Festival Branding Toolkit is available HERE.

A basic Acquittal Form must be submitted via the SmartyGrants portal at the completion of the event or activity.
