North Central District Forecast

for the period until midnight EDT Thursday 16 February 2012.

Weather Situation
A trough of low pressure extends across eastern Victoria while a high pressure
system south of South Australia extends a ridge south of Tasmania. A low
pressure system deepening over the Tasman Sea will move slowly to the southeast
with the ridge of high pressure expected to remain across Tasmania on Monday.
The high will move east of Tasmania on Tuesday and be located in the central
Tasman Sea on Wednesday and over New Zealand on Thursday. A low pressure trough
will enter the southwest of the State late on Wednesday and move slowly
eastwards across the State on Thursday.

Forecast for the rest of Sunday 12 February
Partly cloudy. Isolated showers. The chance of thunderstorms in the east. Winds
south to southeasterly averaging 15 to 30 km/h.

Forecast for Monday 13 February
Partly cloudy. Isolated showers in the east. The chance of thunderstorms in the
east in the late afternoon. Winds south to southeasterly averaging 10 to 20
km/h. Overnight temperatures falling to around 12 with daytime temperatures
reaching 22 to 27.

Forecast for Tuesday 14 February
Mostly sunny morning. Isolated showers in the east during the afternoon. Light
winds. Overnight temperatures falling to between 10 and 13 with daytime
temperatures reaching 26 to 31.

Forecast for Wednesday 15 February
Partly cloudy. Winds northeasterly averaging 10 to 20 km/h. Overnight
temperatures falling to between 13 and 16 with daytime temperatures reaching 28
to 33.

Forecast for Thursday 16 February
Partly cloudy. The chance of showers developing during the morning, becoming
more likely during the afternoon. The chance of thunderstorms from midday.
Winds northeast to northwesterly averaging 15 to 25 km/h, reaching 35 km/h at
times, tending south to southwesterly up to 20 km/h by early evening. Overnight
temperatures falling to between 15 and 19 with daytime temperatures reaching 28
to 33.
