The purpose of such a Design Manual is to: • clearly document Council’s requirements for the design and development of infrastructure; • standardise development submissions as much as possible and thus expedite Council’s engineering approvals; and • ensure that minimum design criteria are met in regard to the design and construction of infrastructure
The following Councils have already adopted the Design Manual, following public exhibition and calling for submissions:- • City of Greater Bendigo • Campaspe Shire Council • Moira Shire Council • Greater Shepparton City Council • Rural City of Wangaratta

It is Strathbogie Shire Council’s intention, once the Design Manual is adopted, to also incorporate it into the proposed revision of the Strathbogie Planning Scheme.
In accordance with Section 223 of the Local Government Act 1989, written submissions are invited in relation to the Infrastructure Design Manual. The closing date for submissions is Monday 30th November at 5.00 p.m. Any person wishing to be heard in support of their submissions should so indicate in their submission.
